Bulldozing the Truth for the sake of Political Expediency

That's what the controversial Columbia Univerity's Barnard College Associate Professor Ms. Abu El-Haj would have you believe is the major driving force behind Israel's archaeological research.

Apparently the hundreds of academics, research assistants, Professors, and associate Professors are acting in a unified choreographed action rewriting the history underneath to match the 'Zionist agenda'.

To any one able to view with an objective eye, its plainly obvious who is doing the bulldozing and who is willing to destroy a vast archaeological history in the name of political expediency.

A valuable lesson taught to me by a favorite teacher long ago, something I'll never forget, when some one is pointing, three of their fingers are pointing back at them. A lesson Ms Abu El Haj could well learn.

Key Ally Murdered by Al-Qaida

From VOA:
Bomb Kills Key Iraqi Sheikh
A roadside bomb has killed an important Sunni tribal leader who was cooperating with U.S. troops fighting al-Qaida insurgents in Iraq. Sheikh Abdul Sattar Abu Risha and two bodyguards died in the attack near his home in Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar province. VOA correspondent Meredith Buel has details from the Pentagon.

Abu Risha was the leader of the Anbar Salvation Council, also known as Anbar Awakening, an alliance of Sunni clans backing the Iraqi government and U.S. forces to push al-Qaida fighters out of western Iraq.

President Bush met Abu Risha and other tribal leaders during a highly symbolic trip to Anbar province on September 3.

Last year, the Sunni sheikhs switched their allegiance from al-Qaida to the Shi'ite-led government in Baghdad.

Mr. Bush said he was pleased with the progress in Anbar, which has gone from one of the most violent, anti-U.S. areas in Iraq to a security success story.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters that Abu Risha's death is a major loss.

Enough! Now is the time to act.

Israel has shown restraint time and time again, with regards to the Gaza militants firing qassams at Israeli Towns situated close to the Gaza Border.

Sderot has suffered a continual barrage of rockets aimed at its civilians for too long. The town is being reduced to being virtually inhabitable. With much of the population leaving, and with scores of qassam attacks on a daily basis, Sderot's residents are left wondering many times a day if today will be their last, or the last for their children.

The Palestinian militants make no pretense of trying to avoid civilian populations, they boast at the prospect of killing innocent civilians.

In the last month there have been too many close calls, there has been a large escalation in both the accuracy and amount of qassams being fired.

Surely it indicates that the militants are getting some sort of feedback/assistance in their targeting. They are beginning to pinpoint targets and fire with ever increasing aim.

How long is it before the massive shipments of armaments coming through the tunnels into Gaza will start including far more murderous anti personel rockets such as from the Iranians and the Syrians.

Israel has not gained one single major concession in its dealings with the Palestinians, and despite leaving Gaza, things have only got worse. The time has come.
If the Palestinians will not enforce the law of order, and act civilized then they should be held responsible for their inaction.

From BBC News
Dozens hurt by rocket in Israel

At least 69 Israeli soldiers have been injured after a rocket fired from Gaza exploded in an army camp in southern Israel, the military has said.
