Welcome to the JPix No 2,
The 2nd Jewish Photo Carnival
In beginning JPix carnival no 2, I have to say I'm quite over whelmed how many submissions this carnival has received to date. Its fairly obvious that there is a demand and need to have a Jewish Photo carnival.
Mixing it up!
This particular JPIx carnival, JPIX 2 , I'm going to try a slightly different format. Heck the Carnivals only 2 editions old, and I'd be surprised if you didn't see a lot more variations in the presentation of Photos and content.

Finally, I must say and state the obvious a carnival is only as good as the people and submissions they send; and the future for JPIx is looking fantastic, without any more speeches lets get right into it.

First of I'd like to draw attention to Joshua who has the Blog Josh's Photos, Josh submitted a stunning photo last month called leaping upon the mountains but the very day I posted the first JPix carnival his blog had a problem and he missed out on the link, his photos are stunning and that's why I've featured Ramon Crater as the featured image for JPix 2.

Batya's been busy snapping photos, [although she is still being all thumbs on the new camera phone] she sent in this photo essay of a wintery day's walk, Not quite what I had planned...It's doubtful you could get a better view of the Valley of Shiloh.

Most of you will be aware of the importance of Shiloh in Judaism, but some may not be aware of the amazing mosaics which have been recently found in areas surrounding Shiloh. These archaeological treasures may 'never' have existed if Israelis hadn't become aware of them. Anyway I'll let someone far more qualified take you on this journey of Mosaic treasures.

What else would you do when near Zion Square than go eating out Kosher, it seems Batya has had the busiest fortnight I've ever seen. There certainly wasn't a lack of colorful characters from her vantage point whilst eating her meal, the sunset on the way home looks breathtaking.Her thumbs are back as she discovers her new mobile phone doesn't do some things her old phone did. Barely sleeping due to the worry of knowing if her new phone alarm would go off automatically like her old one. A restless sleep, hours fly by, and the new day dawns .

[#] Submitting Photos for non bloggers!
Not every one has a blog, and due to this some readers generaly miss out when it comes to participating in Carnivals. I had an enquiry related to this and, so in the interest of providing access to other Jews who aren't so computer savy or just plain well don't have blogs, I've established a Photo hosting account , JPixcarnival photo hosting where seperate files of photos can be submitted and displayed on JPix.
Now its quite some work, so if you do have a blog use your blog to display your photos, but if you know some one who would like to share there photos with the greater Jewish community then there is that opition now available.
