How to help? Sadness overwhelms...

In this time of anger and violence, its hard not to detach oneself from the horrors that happen on a daily basis. Something happened a few days ago, half way around the world, that caused me to feel immense sadness.

The story of a simple peace loving man praying in a field being attacked and brutally murdered for no reason other than he was Jewish has made me and others feel for the suffering of this man and his family.

We can't take back the pain, the hurt, the outrage of this cruel act, but we can help in some what of a small way.

Erez Levanon was buried in the Kfar Etzion cemetery accompanied by a funeral procession estimated to be over 1,000 mourners despite the cold rain and dense fog. He is survived by his wife, Dafna, and three children - a son, 11, and 7-year-old twins, son and daughter. May they be comforted.
