Glad to see you're making some progress.

How about the JIBs being an award for anti-Israeli and possibly anti-Semitic blogs, though? Will you change the name to the JIPs -- Jewish, Israeli and Palestinian awards? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6774599691512328536.post-51821094691420396282007-05-04T21:29:00.000+10:002007-05-04T21:29:00.000+10:00Ouch...my poor little koala! Opening the awards up to some radical anti-Israel blogs (I am not talking merely left-wing, but rather anti-Israel). This goes against the purpose of the awards - at least the purpose I had in mind.
2. Seemingly not evaluating the validity of some blogs vis-a-vis their nominated categories.
3. Allowing committee blogs to compete.

Having said that, I know the committee members have put in a lot of work, and have the right motives. And let's face it - they got off their tushes and did something, so they have my respect.

I am also heartened by David Linn's comment above. For me, the JIBs are a success if they bring new readers to blogs helping promote Judaism and Israel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6774599691512328536.post-25679397949716856252007-05-03T15:05:00.000+10:002007-05-03T15:05:00.000+10:00Maybe if you do it again, take a committee of out...Maybe if you do it again, take a committee of out of the running,"senior bloggers" and they'll check out each blog nominated to see if everyone suits minimal criteria.

My proposal is that the committee of "senior bloggers" cannot run for awards.

I don't see what the committee has to do with it... and you won't find large bloggers willing to do all the work involved.Ezziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12494592434522239195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6774599691512328536.post-21457532615194375422007-05-03T12:48:00.000+10:002007-05-03T12:48:00.000+10:00Maybe if you do it again, take a committee of out ...Maybe if you do it again, take a committee of out of the running

Ya think??? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6774599691512328536.post-80170812421603106302007-05-03T10:49:00.000+10:002007-05-03T10:49:00.000+10:00Mr. B - I've been voting for you and I think your ...Mr. B - I've been voting for you and I think your cartoon for this post deserves an EXTRA SPECIAL award!!

How about giving her an award for "the most temerity" or "the biggest set of ***** by a casual blogger"?

I blog because I enjoy it.
